Female Fighter

An attempt at a non-sexualized female fighter character. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, I miss the grit that was lost in clean up though.

Loosely trying to figure out what the character should look like as well as just what looks cool and interesting to help develop the world. More to come on Wednesday.

2/52 Week Challenge - schedule

Just want to start off by saying that I'm sorry for already falling behind... or have I?! The answer to that is both yes and no.

Have I been posting something every week like I was supposed to? no. So in that respect I'm sorry but in my defense, it felt weird to post something on my art blog that wasn't art, visual art. The beginning of this process has been very and primarily meditative in nature and as a result I don't have much to show for it, but I do have something.

And that brings me to the happy "yes". I can't show you the development ideas because that would completely ruin the idea of making a comic but I can prove that the ideas exist... sort of... hopefully is what you get out of it... ANYWAYS HERE IT IS!

There is even more in my sketch book not to mention my head but you know... I thought this was enough blurry words for today and the blog. Also listed are the other ideas I had for comics that I felt were more "casual" in nature and that's not what I was in the mood for, though it maybe in the future because I still like the concept.

Man, I sure hope that stuff is illegible.

This is how I was going to plan on releasing everything. It's very likely that it may change in some direction or the other but this is what seems manageable right now. Do to the underlying world and the whole story arc that will need to be written if not at least developed to some degree, I am planning on releasing the first "chapter" or "book" or whatever it ends up being by the end of the year. It seems achievable and that's the most important thing about this for me, getting started!

How does the schedule look to everybody? Possible?

Thanks,

Really old Ninja Game

A game I worked on ever so long ago, I think this was the second or something project I ever did coming out of school. The project was fun, I had pretty much full control of the project and the art direction as well as the animation. Ended up probably putting too much work into the project for what it was worth but I was young and naive and I needed the money. There is a lot I could show from this but this will have to do as theres no working game to showcase and the game is mostly a collection of backgrounds and assets and cars and little things like that.

It never got completed as far as I know but I like the things I did on it and what I learned going through all that.

Storefront Creations

Some illustrations I did for a cute little book about the cow who jumped over the moon and how it's always important to dream.

Victorian story development

Second year story development adaptation of Edward Allen Poe's "Last Breath". A story about a man who "loses his breath", which here means, loses his soul or life and goes through the story being somewhat hilariously killed over and over again. Due to the particular requirements of the project the story became muddied with love interests, villain and comedic character when the original had all these simplified in the main character.
