Finished off another sketchbook just in time to still count as 20011, here are the highlights. I also put in individual files of all the caricatures so if anyone wanted it to use for something, there it is.

The last caricature except for any emails and comments I haven't gotten to, is of/for Shannen Heathfeild. This also marks the end of the new sketchbook so I'll be going through it tomorrow and creating a proper highlights post tomorrow in proper scans. Again, If people want a caricature or some sketch done for them just hit me up in some way, email is probably best but whatever way you can get my attention works fine as well. Hope everyone had a merry Christmas/ Kwanzaa/ Hanuka/ Pastafarian Winter joy Festival/ Winter Solstice and hopefully you have gotten through Black friday/ boxing day unscathed.

I think I may have found out who the mystery person is though even she seems a bit confused at the matter. Regardless this caricature of Fiona Tyler now exists and I guess that's all that matter so merry Christmas Fiona.

Trying out the whole "Auto Posting", hopefully this works otherwise this is going out too early and I'm sure something bad will happen. Maybe this is how the Mayan end of the world starts... best not to dwell on it too much. Alright! well that will have to do for now though I know she must have a portfolio thing around so I will check into that and seeing how this post is from the future, I still have time to make amends and fix it before it has a chance to be posted! So today was supposed to be Shuu Alula but seeing as I don't know who that is, they don't have a blog or a display picture I did one of what I thought "she" (Guessing here) would look like. Yes, I do feel that this person would have a question mark tattooed to their face. Thats just the crazy, off the walls, out of the box thinking I expect from Shuu Alula. I'll do a proper one if they come forward or my minions find out who this is.
Feeling a bit like a cop out so here's the next one in the list. I welcome Sam Ovens of Drunkin' Fish fame to the small rag tag group of followers I have. Another fantastic artist except this one makes things that exist in REAL LIFE, like hates and junk and seeing as it's almost Christmas, hit her up for some commissions.

Today Daily is for Leon Mcpherson, if I know you I'm sorry but I don't remember from where but seeing as your following this blog you are truly and outstanding individual. I think as soon as I finish my sketchbook (or the pile of paper I am currently using as a sketchbook) I will go through and do a proper scan of everything so people can have a good version of these. I don't know if I'll have time to tell everyone about it so all the more reason to check back and follow the blog.

A bunch of people have expressed an interest in getting into the caricature dealy I'm doing here and all you have to do to get in is become a follower of this blog and you get put in the list. The sooner you do this the higher in the list you will be to getting it done. These are turning into bi-dailies but I promise Ill get this on track when I don't have to manage three projects at the same time, namely... next week. I made a sketch book out of my crappy used animations so their are Easter eggs in some of them if you squish your face to the screen. Should probably mention that these are gestures, 30 seconds - 2 minutes I guess.

I try to avoiding scanning things like the plague so here are some photos of the sketches of the day. I realize I need a lot more work with my short hand, expressions and faces in particular so thats what I was working on today and probably for a while still.
Siren Painting
I had an interview type thing with Sava in Montreal and I wanted to get some new art done to showcase my current skill level and this is what came of that experience. I really like it mostly because I was really sleep deprived from fighting off a cold to really see what I was doing so the next day this was the little surprise the photoshop elves left me.

Sketch book Drop 20011
Finished off another sketch book and compiles some of the highlights. It got a bit cropped off there in the end witch is unfortunate but this isn't that big of a deal anyways so I'm going to just let it go. This was an old sketch book I would use for big life drawing but But picked up again, after about a year, to finish it off with moslty doodles and some more life drawing.
Painting test
Some test paintings for a new freelance position. I guess these would be speed paintings as they turned out to take about 4 hours each to finish. I definitively need some more landscape practice so that was a lot of fun to work on.

Kvothe Age Designs
I did some designs of "Kvothe" from Patrick Rothfuss' "the name of the wind" and subsequent books. He is the main character and you watch him grow and develop as the series goes on. I was thinking of animating a scene from the first book I found quit interesting, for this purpose I will need the second Kvothe there and one of his teacher's I will have to do later. I will have to scrounge time to finish this but it will get done eventually.
Go read this series, I love it.

"Corn"
I mostly just wanted to own this shirt and I couldn't find what I wanted so I made it myself. Also, I guess this falls under another comic idea though maybe I should start calling the comics that have people as them as comics and the rest... things... I... make....with...hands, that attempt at useing my brain really fell apart there. Most of the "comics" aren't really comic like, I will have to rectify that... eventually... after the current batch is done.

Anomaly Press Kickstarter Program
The graphic novel work I was doing a while back (or really just finished) has just released their kiskstarter program. If you don't know, kickstarter is a great way to raise funds for a project or find out if there's enough interest in the project to merit working on it. For The Canadians out there, Indiegogo is the Canadian equal. Anyways, check it out to see some cool art and an intro to the story as well as what they intend to do with all of it, pledge some money if wanna see it off the ground.

Comic 5 "Your Pokemon is Evolving"
I was making this, feeling a bit weird because it feels like I'm reaching but at least it was looking kinda cool and I thought original though maybe so original that it was crazy and I was the only one that would find it funny much less relevant enough to worth mentioning and then I find this as I just finish the "comic" (it's really just a picture, Not so much a comic, I can live with that)
Well I guess that means I'm not crazy, wait, having things in common with people on the internet probably defines my craziness But I think feel more justified being in a group of crazy people then not in a group at all.

I have some time to go back and do all the comic ideas I had but didn't finish for the past... 6 weeks! Man I'm lazy. Sorry for the lack of posts but I've been busy doing a lot of freelance work, the majority of which I am finished right now. So I am going to try to get as much personal projects done before they can find me and give me more work, the beggining of which is getting to where I should be with these comics.

Anomaly Press Cover Speed painting
The Video from concept to finished of the Anomaly Press graphic novel cover. It's about 20 hours in 10 minutes so it can be kinda jurky in places. Should have left the frame blend on.

Anomaly Press Plush Helmet
I like the first one better but it's a bit too cartoony and whatnot. I guess this was a promotion/ design for a plush helmet their selling as a promotion for the book.
